Zita Marie (Meyer) Zastrow, 81, formerly of Kohler, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Artisan Memory Care in Fond du Lac. Zita was born on May 7, 1936, in St. Nazianz to John and Theckla Meyer. She attended Valders High School. On September 14, 1957, Zita married Ronald at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. Zita worked at various restaurants as a cook including the Log Cabin Inn in Howards Grove. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler where she was a member of the St. Ann's Society . She enjoyed cooking, reading, walking, gardening, collecting cows, and attending her grandchildren's events. Zita is survived by her son, Terence (Jennifer) Zastrow of Winneconne; two daughters, Debra (James) Muellenbach of Brillion, Vicki Gischia of Sheboygan; six grandchildren, Samantha (Joseph) Reglin, Pamela (Brian) Arnold, Nicole Zastrow, Dominic (Ashley) Gischia, Carlo (Jessica) Gischia, Bradley Zastrow, Nathan Zastrow; four great-grandchildren, Hope Reglin, Jeffrey-Ronald Reglin, Della Mae Reglin, Charlotte Gischia; twin sister, Rita (Raymond) Ostrenga; two sister-in-laws, Ruth Knabe, and Yvonne (Roland) Launer. Zita was preceded in death by her father, John Felix Meyer; mother, Theckla Albertina Stein; husband, Ronald A. Zastrow; and a sister, Jeanette Schermetzler.A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Zita's life will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 12pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler with Fr. Joe Dominic officiating. A burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler.Relatives and friends may greet the family at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 10:30 am until the time of mass at 12:00 pm.
