GRIFTON - Zannie "Sue" Casteen Tingle, 67, of Grifton passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Tingle was born on August 15, 1944, to the late Floyd and Dola Casteen. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" McRae Tingle and son, Terry James Tingle. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Zannie loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as loving and kind person that never met a stranger, she will truly be missed. Survivors include her daughters, Tonia Taylor and husband Nick, of Wilson, Dyan Spence and husband Ralph, of New Bern; and son, Will Tingle of New Bern; grandchildren Nicholas Taylor, Gracie Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Brad Spence, and Corey Spence; brothers Homer Casteen and Earl Casteen both of Pink Hill; and special companion Ricky Moye of Grifton. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Visitation will follow the service.
