JOHNSON, Yvonne1928 - 2017Yvonne Johnson, fondly known as 'Fifini', age 88, died at 4:00 a.m. on March 21, 2017 at VIGI Queen Elizabeth Residence in Montreal, Quebec. She was born on December 24, 1928 in Sangre Grande, Trinidad & Tobago to parents Viviana and Ashton Johnson, both deceased. She was the mother of Diane Rankin and Margo Veitch, sister of Iva (deceased), Ursula (deceased), Hamilton, Lucille, Eva, Yvette, Fred (deceased), Joyce and Thelma, aunt to many nieces and nephews, including Mona Hope. She was very popular growing up in Sangre Grande and would be remembered by all for her quick wit, distinctive laugh and her radiant smile. She moved to Montreal in 1962 where she spent many years as a Nurse's Aide and looking after a young family, following which she worked at the Veterans' Hospital until her retirement. The Funeral will be held on Monday, March 27 at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White with visitation at 12:00 p.m., followed by Chapel Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial procession after service will be to Montreal Memorial Park.
