July 5, 1938 - October 28, 2016Yolanda E. Garcia, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister was called Home by our Lord surrounded by her loving Family on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the age of 78. Yolanda was born on July 5, 1938 in San Antonio. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Julio G. Garcia and her parents, Antonio and Francisca Estrada. She is survived by her loving children, Julio Jr. (Helen), Andrew (Rosalinda), Sandra, John (Connie); grandchildren, Roxy, Olivia, Joseph, Isabella, Thomas, Patrick; brothers, Miguel (Mary), Gerardo; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends. Yolanda was co-founder with her husband, Julio of Garcia's Mexican Food located on Fredericksburg Road. She worked there while raising her children ensuring they all received a good education and a loving home. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her Hospice Nurses, Kim and DoloresSERVICESVisitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. The Procession will depart at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from the Funeral Home for a Mass of Resurrection to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower.
