Pia, Sr., Xavier F.Xavier F. Pia, Sr., known to friends as "X", passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016 at the age of 75. A lifelong resident of Stamford, he was born on February 13, 1941 to the late Nunzie Peter and Theresa Viola Sansone Pia.Xavier graduated from Stamford High in 1959. A devoted father, he always worked hard to support his family. At the time of his retirement he had been working as a driver for FleetPride for over fifteen years. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, an organization to which his father and three of his sons also belonged.Above all else Xavier's family, friends and faith meant the world to him. He enjoyed every moment he was able to spend with his family, and faithfully attended daily Mass at St. Camillus Health Care Center. He was an active participant in all social events at St. Camillus, and a regular contributor to their newsletter. A kind, gentle and loving man, he will be forever missed.He is survived by his loving sons, Xavier F. Pia, Jr., Kenneth H. Pia and Vincent J. Pia; his loving and devoted sister Pamela C. Pia, as well as his grandchildren, Frances, Madison, Caitlynn, Brandon, Jessica, Skylar and Liliana.Besides his parents, Xavier was predeceased by his son Peter V.
