Fadness, Wilma G.MADISON - Wilma G. Fadness, age 98, of Madison, passed away at home on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, with her loving family by her side. She was born on Jan. 18, 1918, in Marathon County, the daughter of Harry and Ella (Sellin) Genrich. She married Raymond Fadness on April 14, 1950, in Madison. Wilma was a charter member of Lake Edge Lutheran Church. She retired from the State of Wisconsin, Unemployment Compensation Division. Wilma was also a member of the Deborah Circle and Happy Quilters. She was an avid gardener of flowers and vegetables, and was very proud of her six rose bushes outside her front door. Wilma enjoyed traveling around the U.S. and Canada. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends. Wilma is survived by children, Donna Fadness of Madison, Jon Fadness of Madison, Karen (Jim) Vieweger of Windsor and Sandra (Wayne) Ross of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; grandchildren, Katrina (Matt) Taylor, Matthew (Bree) Kraus, Brian Vieweger (Lisa McGill), Thomas Vieweger and Amanda (Jonathan) Moss; two great-grandchildren; sister, Verna Kristianson of Eagle River; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Hilda (Eugene) Christian, Edna Genrich; brother, Vernon; and sister-in-law, Opal Kristianson. Funeral services will be held at LAKE EDGE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4032 Monona Dr., Madison, at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, with the Rev. Katya Ouchakof and the Rev. Stephen Marsh presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, and at the church from 12 noon until the time of the service on Saturday.
