to her mother wilie Mae Sims was born in Mississippi in December of 1952, to her mother and father Martha McGee and Willie Sims. She would soon become the eldest of her 9 brothers and sisters. After Marrying Hilliard Coleman, her journey would take her from southern farmlands to the big city of Chicago. Here the couple settled down, had their 4 children together, and created a life with one another. After her children got older and began having families of their own, Willie Mae naturally gravitated towards her grandchildren becoming the very heart and soul of her family. Willie Mae was a kind, caring, and loving person to all that knew her and even strangers. She was one of the funniest people you could ever meet, always leaving everyon with a huge smile on their face. She was sweet, but that didn't mean she wasn't spicy too( lol). She was Real, She was Raw, she was Genuine. She was a good wife & sister, an amazing mother, and a phenomenal grandmother. Willie Mae Answered the lords call on March 30th, 2022. She will truly be missed by all whose presence she graced. But knowing she is reunited with not only her mother Martha & her husband Hilliard, but her Daughter Marsha and her grandson Trayvond who preceded her in death brings peace to many of our hearts.
