William E. WoodwardWilliam Earl Woodward passed away February 10, 2017. Bill was born on October 1, 1938, to Donald and Dorothy Jean Woodward in Lansing, Michigan.Bill met and married his cherished wife Marilyn Kay in 1961. Soon after marriage, he served in the
U.S. Navy "Seabees" stationed in Newfoundland, Canada and Cuba. Over a career of 55 years, he became a registered Architect and Contractor in Michigan and Arizona. Many of his projects involved the design and construction of educational facilities. During the 1970's and 1980's he co-partnered Walden Development Company, which designed and built numerous condominium and office projects in the Lansing area. With sons Bruce and David raised, Bill and Kay relocated to Arizona in 1986. Bill worked with a Mesa, Arizona Architectural firm and later taught drafting for several years. He retired in 2007 from the Sahuarita School District as the Construction Manager. Bill enjoyed boating, camping and travel, having visited all 50 United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe. He was a member of the American Legion and Optimist Club of Green Valley.Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years; sons, Bruce and David (Julie); four beautiful granddaughters, Karlee, Shelby, Hailey and Macy; and his brothers, Robert and James.Burial will be next to his parents in Ovid, Michigan.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the .
