William E. "Billy" WilsonAugust 20, 1923 - August 12, 2014William E. "Billy" Wilson, 90, of Nampa, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at his home. He was born on August 20, 1923 in Nampa, Idaho to William, Sr. and Cora Ellen Wilson. He attended schools in Nampa and career shop training in Chicago.At the age of nineteen, he went into the U.S. Army with the 778th Engineers and was stationed at Ft. Belvoir, VA, Naraybe Ordinance Depot, TX and Camp Claiborne, LA. He served in China, Burma and India.He then went to Fort Richardson and Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska. He also finished his military career in Edwards AFB in California.He was employed at various occupations in Nampa and Boise.In 1986 he married Alice Hines in Boise and they later divorced.He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. Wilson, Sr. and Cora Ella Evans Wilson, a brother Jack B. Wilson, sisters Sylvia Janette Wilson Snead and Donna Maxine Wilson Chaney Bowen.He is survived by many nieces and nephews.Bill was a faithful caregiver to a brother and niece for several years. His good sense of humor will be missed by his family and friends and his faithful dog "Bo" who was always with him.We also wish to extend our thanks and gratitude to Home Instead Care and Treasure Valley Hospice.A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M.
