KINSTON - William Lee Horner Sr., 83, of Kinston, N.C., passed away at Lenoir Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 21, 2012. Mr. Horner was born on October 5, 1928, in Lenoir County to the late Jasper Frank and Thelma Horner. Mr. Horner served his country in the United States Army and loved being around his family and friends. He was loved by all and will be missed by many. Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl Lee and Margaret Martinez both of Kinston; son William Lee Horner of Kinston; and brother, Ricky Jones of Germany; sister Barbara Jean Lewandowski of Kinston; grandchildren Ashley Lee Horner of La Grange, William David Martinez of Kinston, and Ursula Diane Martinez of Honduras; one great-grandchild, Patton Lee Horner; and a special canine companion "Ginger."
