Morgan, William "Bud" H.William "Bud" H. Morgan, age 91, a resident of Artisan Assisted Living for the past year, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.Bud was born on July 2, 1925 in Valders, son of the late Elton and Clara (Kiel) Morgan. He attended grade school at River Bend School in Clarks Mills. Bud graduated with honors from Valders High School in 1943. He then completed the University of Wisconsin Farm Short Course in 1947 and 1948. Bud then farmed with his parents until being drafted into the U.S. Army in April of 1954. He was honorably discharged in March of 1956 after spending 16 months in the occupation of Korea.Following his Army service he returned to farming and purchased the farm from his parents in 1958. In 1966 he married the former Faith J. Wellner of Manitowoc at the First Presbyterian Church of Manitowoc. The Rev. Gervase Zanoti officiated. They farmed in the Town of Cato until retiring in 1992. After his retirement he worked part time as a private groundskeeper and also at the Manitowoc County Fairgrounds and the Branch River Golf Course.Bud belonged to many organizations including the Manitowoc County and Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federations, Valders High School Agriculture Alumni Association, Valders Legion Post #28, North East Wisconsin Guernsey Breeders Association and the Wisconsin and National Guernsey Breeder Associations. While farming he continued one of Manitowoc Counties oldest Registered Guernsey herds and was the breeder of three Guernsey cows that classified as excellent, the highest rating for type. Bud was also a long time exhibitor at the Manitowoc County Fair.In 2003, Bud and Faith moved to Manitowoc. He was active in the Presbyterian church as a Deacon for a three year term, also helping as usher and greeter. Bud enjoyed playing and watching all kinds of sports and was a life long Cubs fan. He loved golf, horse shoes, dartball and bowling. Bud was also an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife: Faith Morgan, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Wendy and Craig Hebron, Franksville, WI; one son and daughter-in-law: Lance and Penny Morgan, Brillion; two grandchildren: Russell and Geneva Hebron; two sisters: Doris Ellestad, MT, Eunice Borgwardt-Wellner, Manitowoc; and two sisters-in-law: Marion Morgan, Cato, and Mary Wellner, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one brother: George Morgan; four brothers-in-law: Edmond Ellestad, Carl Borgwardt, Bernie Wellner, Russell Wellner; and one sister-in-law: June Wellner.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dr. Matthew Sauer. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, and military rites will be accorded by the American Legion - Drews Bleser Post #88.The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting
