William Gordon PearceEdmond, OKWilliam Gordon Pearce, of Edmond, OK, formerly of Knoxville, was born on December 26, 1916. He recently celebrated his 100th birthday, a milestone he was very proud to reach. He loved following his alma mater, The University of Tennessee, especially the basketball and football teams. He enjoyed telling everyone about his college days on the wrestling team at UT. He was a patriot, who deeply loved his country. He served as a lieutenant in the Navy during WWII and the Korean War. A dedicated family man, he would never hesitate to be there for or help family in any way. He was a steady, dependable, rock of a man. He is survived by his son, two daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his two nephews and niece. Family and friends will meet 9:45 AM on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Greenwood Cemetery for a 10:00 AM graveside service.
