"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earh."
Psalm 46:10
William Jefferson Davis was born December 15, 1945 in Los Angeles, CA to William Jefferson Davis Sr. and Leolia Davis. As a child, William accepted Christ and attended services at Bethel Church of Christ Holliness in Los Angeles, CA, where his father was an usher and faithful member. As an adult he attended West Angeles Church of God In Christ.
William was a lively, caring, loving man. He met and developed life-long friends throughout his life. He was a caregiver to his father until the Lord called him home.
In 2008 William became a member of Southern St. Paul Church where he also was an usher. He was also an active member of the Culinary Ministry. William enjoyed his church and was always willing to give a helping hand. He enjoyed listening to Gospel music.
When William became ill he was unable to do what he loved most which was spending time with family. On October 27 2017 the Lord decided to call him home so he could rest peacefully. He leaves behind his everlasting memory with his three children: oldest son, Antoine H. Davis; two beautiful daughters, LaShawn Evans, and LaTanya Hood; sisters, Esther Peyton Davis, Mary Jackson; and two younger brothers, Leroy Davis and Butch Davis. He also leaves a host of grand kids, aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heary, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."
Deuteronomy 6:4-5
