William Charles Wainwright Jr. of East Tawas passed away on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw, age 72 years. William was born on Jan. 2, 1939 in Detroit to William Charles and Virginia E. Wainwright Sr. He owned and operated Tawas Sheet Metal Company in East Tawas for many years. He will be always remembered for his enjoyment of feeding the deer and turkey in his yard, hunting and fishing, visiting and talking to people and working on all kinds of mechanical projects, cars and trailers. William is survived by his two loving children, William Charles (Tammie) Wainwright III of Tawas City and Tammy Campbell of Ocean Springs, Miss.; three grandchildren, Kristi (Tris) Coffin, Cory Wainwright and Trisha Casey; one great grandson, Carter Coffin; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Wainwright, who passed away in 2005; and his parents, William and Virginia Wainwright Sr. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. At this time, no services are scheduled. A burial of his cremated remains will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery in East Tawas.
