Becks, WilliamWilliam "Bill" L. Becks, Green Bay, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, from complications of living a darn good life for 94 years. He was born on September 18, 1922 in Green Bay to the late William and Ida (DeMain) Becks. Bill married Mary Jones, on February 13, 1946, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Green Bay. He retired in 1979 following a long career as a truck driver while earning many safe driving awards. Bill served in the United States Army during WWII from 1942-1945 with the 103rd Infantry Division.Bill cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and Mary liked to travel south every winter in their RV. Bill enjoyed taking trips to the casino, watching football on television and spending time up north, where they enjoyed fishing and boating with the family.Surviving are his five children, Dianne Drake, Mary Gajeski, Kris (Michael) Ellefson, Ida Connie Domnick and Douglas (Julie) Becks; grandchildren, Danielle, Stacey, Jerry Jr., Jason, Andrea, David, Sara, Bryan, Kathryn, Benjamin, Nathan, Jennifer and Megan; great-grandchildren, Kristina, Brett, Morgan, Zachary, Grace, Katelyn, Lexi, JJ, JayLee, Josephine, Stella, William, Corbin, Zade, Rosella and Samara and a son-in-law, Douglas Bidwell. He is also survived by his brother, John Becks, three sisters, Agnes Lepak, Geraldine Phillips and Shirley (Randell) Compton, along with many relatives and friends.On August 30, 2014, Dad lost a part of his heart when Mom passed away. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Bidwell; his sons, Daniel and Charles Becks and his son-in-law, Gerald Drake. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 4:00 pm until the prayer service at 6:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 1, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive, from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 with Rev.
