Willard "Mac" Ray McAdams87, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 20, 2017. He was born on May 30, 1929 in Scottsville, KY to the late Virgil and Etta York McAdams. Mac married Gladys "Hap" Zook on June 18, 1966 in Indianapolis. He was employed as a service technician for General Electric for over thirty years, retiring in 1985. Mac was a life member of
VFW Greenwood #5864, Whiteland VFW #6978, and Greenwood American Legion #252. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed all forms of motorsports, racing flat track motorcycles in the 1940's.Mac is survived by his grandchildren Brad DeWitt, Christa (Anthony) DeWitt Calderone, Angela (Dennis) Jamison Fecker, Stephani Williamson Rodriguez, Chaston (Amy) Rooks; son-in-law John Williamson; adopted grandchild Niki, Breann, Trynton; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by his parents, wife, daughters Joy Durnil Dugger and Debra McAdams Williamson; sisters Helen McAdams and Faye Douglas; brother Ralph McAdams; and adopted grandson Zakaraya Williamson.Services for Mac will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2017 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the mortuary. Interment will follow with military honors at Greenwood Cemetery.
