Hamilton, 91, of Zanesville, passed away at 7:20 am Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Adams Lane Care Center.She was born on December 9, 1923 in New Straitsville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur Hanning and Violet Johnson Maxwell.She was a homemaker and mother of 14 children. Seven surviving sons, Larry "Mike", Stephen, Harry, Barry, Charles, George and Billy Hamilton and two surviving daughters, Rita (Charles) Kelly, and Peggy Hamilton; brother, Billy (Linda) Hanning, sisters, Marlene (Bill) Kittle, Laverna (Bob) McNerney, Laura (Bill) Dady, and Monna Cantrell; several grandchildren, including Misty Hamilton whom she raised from birth, several great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren; and special family friend, B.J. Brownfield.In addition to her parents; she was preceded by husband, Richard H. Hamilton; sons, Richard and Bryce, daughters, Sherry and Victoria Hamilton, and Connie Stewart; brothers, Lester and James Hanning.Friends may call from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday.
