Wesley Dwight Blount was born on October 11, 1955 the fifth child born to Margaret Blount in Detroit, Michigan. Wesley was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brothers; Ronald and Darryl Blount.
Wesley received his formal education through the Detroit Public school system. He attended McMichael Junior and Northwestern Senior high schools where he enjoyed playing the drums.
Wesley was very adventuresome and full of life having served in the United States Army in the late 1970s. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he ventured to Southern California where he spent many years. While there he excitedly called his mother to report the good news of his Salvation. He spent his final years in Macon, Georgia with his daughter and granddaughter where some of his favorite hobbies included cooking and doing puzzles.
He leaves to cherish his loving daughter Samantha; his granddaughter Malaya; his sister Janet (Edward) Hester; brothers, John (Patricia), Robert, Howard, and David Blount. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
