Wesley Alexander Hamilton Crumpgermantown, TNWesley Alexander Hamilton "Alex" Crump, 22, of Germantown, TN, passed away on October 22, 2016. He was born on November 12, 1993 in Memphis, TN, to Wesley Hamilton Crump and Stephanie Rickard Crump. He attended Memphis University School and graduated from St. George's Independent School with the Class of 2012. In May of this year, he was a proud graduate of The University of Alabama receiving a BS degree in Business Administration.Full of passion and a zest for life, Alex described himself as an, "avid student, volunteer, and musician who wants to make this world a better place, one day at a time." He had a heart for service, which was demonstrated in so many ways. He traveled to Germany to serve as a Volunteer for Peace, taught Junior Achievement classes, and interned at , serving ALSAC in the Change Enablement department. It was during his time at St. Jude, he became so inspired by their mission, that he knew that he wanted to serve this world in such a way that he could change lives for the better. As an honor student at the University of Alabama, Alex was a deep thinker who loved to learn. He was a proud member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and a devoted fan of Alabama football. He took great pride in saying "ROLL TIDE!" Alex loved to play his guitar and "jam" with his friends, and could often be found playing and singing along with his favorite band, "Phish."His family and friends were the most important things in his life. He had a deep capacity to love and demonstrated this often. He will be remembered for his bright smile, his kind and accepting nature, his love for travel and music, his uncanny ability to reach people with his contagious, positive spirit, and for making the lives of those who knew and loved him better, one day at a time. He is survived by a family that adored him: his parents, Wesley and Stephanie Crump; his grandparents, Patti and Barry Ray and Sherry and Tommy Rhodes; his great grandmother, Jo Ray: his uncles Trey Crump and Lee Williams; his great uncle and aunt Curtis and Geraldean Person, along with many devoted aunts, cousins and friends.Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27 from 5-7 p.m., with the service held on Friday, October 28 at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Memorial Park.The family requests that memorials may be sent to to the Wesley Alexander Hamilton Crump Memorial Fund.
