Wayne Robert Eckert RACINE – Wayne Robert Eckert, 72, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on July 9, 1941, the son of the late Ernest and Marie (nee: Mikulecky) Eckert. He was a 1959 graduate of Lutheran High School, continuing his education at UW Parkside. Wayne was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He had been employed by Johnson Wax and J.I. Case Company before becoming self-employed with WRE Associates. Wayne enjoyed model railroading. Surviving is his former wife and close friend, Barbara Eckert; sisters-in-law, Shirley, Carol and Ann Eckert. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Griffin on November 24, 2013; three brothers, Ernest, Wesley and Daniel. Private services have taken place.
