Kreeger, 70, passed away 6:35 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia.He was born on May 31, 1947, in York, a son of the late Walter A. and Gertrude (Brickner) Kreeger Heck. His wife, Valerie J. (Beaston) Kreeger, whom he married on May 1, 2001 in Winchester, VA., survives at their home. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mellanie S. Krouse; and his stepfather, Russell Heck.In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Maria Weigle (Randy) of Camp Hill, Nicole Kreeger (Mike) of New Park, Heather Kreeger of York, Wendy Thoman of Harrisburg, Chris Treaster of Newton Hamilton, Ashley Walker (Jeremy) of Mount Union and Michael Krouse of York; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Barb Huppman and Mike Heck, both of York. He was preceded in death by siblings, Jim Kreeger, Earl Kreeeger, and Gloria Staufer.Mr. Kreeger retired as a manager for Manno Pro of York, where he was employed for over 20 years. He was Catholic by faith, graduated from York Catholic HS in 1965, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, PA. Officiating will be the Rev. Brian Myfelt. Interment will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Mount Union. Graveside miltary honors will be conducted by the Huntingdon County Veterans Honor Guard.
