Harlan, Walter Earl,91, passed away on February 2, 2017 while at Baptist Health Louisville. He was born on April 25, 1925 in Louisville, to the late Walter and Ethel Harlan. Walter served our country in the U.S. Army during
WWII, where he served 20 months overseas as a heavy mortar gunner. Walter was also member of the
VFW post #6182, and a life member of the Moose Lodge #5. After years of employment, he retired from Merchant Police as a Security Officer. Along with Walter's parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Harlan and his mother, Erma.Here to carry on his memory are his wife of 29 years and best friend of 60 years, Lois Lubovsky; sons, Jimmie Harlan (Judy) and Donnie Wayne Harlan; daughter, Rebecca Linscott (Stephen); 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.A visitation will be from 2-8pm Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A service will take place at 2pm Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the funeral home; there will be visiting from 12-2pm the day of the funeral. Burial will take place following the service on Wednesday at Resthaven Memorial Park.
