KETTERING Vivian C. Hounshell, age 92, of Kettering, passed away on November 6, 2012. She was born on December 11, 1919 to the late Burns and Nannie Cox. In addition to her parents Vivian was preceded in death by her son, Darrell R. Hounshell; two brothers, Burns Cox, Jr., and Fordyce Cox; and two sisters, Irene Bowen and Eldean Osborne. Vivian is survived by her daughter in law, Connie Hounshell Little; two grandsons, Jeffrey (Melissa) Hounshell and Brian Hatfield; granddaughter, Mariah Hounshell; great grandchildren, Haley and Nicholas Hounshell; sister, Verda Smith; and numerous other family members. Vivian was a member of Bethel Community Church in Xenia, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vivian's memory to The Hospice of Dayton. A funeral service will be held on Friday November 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, where the family will receive friends prior to service from 11:30 am-1:00 pm.
