Siburt, Virginia M.Virginia Marie Siburt, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, due to Alzheimer's related complications. Virginia was born on March 23, 1927, in Moweaqua, Illinois to James F. and Pansy (Hudson) Cole. She was raised in Decatur, Illinois, graduating from Decatur High School in 1945. She married the love of her life, Jim Siburt on November 30, 1947. Together they raised 6 children. Through the years, she and Jim moved frequently throughout Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin before settling in Wausau in 1965, where they raised their children, watched their grandkids play and grow and would host many family gatherings over the next 40 years. Virginia had many talents especially, painting, drawing portraits, crocheting and gardening. Most of all, she loved her family. Even when Alzheimer's took over her mind, her kind and gentle heart shined through. Virginia is survived by her five daughters, Linda Hardwick of Alpine, TX; Carol (Jerry) Uecker of Butternut; Barb (Jim) Brodjieski of Wausau; Sandy (Steve) VanAsten of Kaukauna; Debbie (Donie) Yeager of Wausau; and Daughter-in-law, Beth Siburt of Sheboygan; 13 grandchildren: Christi Clifford, Heath (Mandy) Hardwick, Ken (Stacy) Uecker, Steve (Ruthi) Uecker, Jim Brodjieski, Brenda (Keith) Berens, Pam Brodjieski (Amanda Greene), Samantha Kerswill (fiancé Scott Thomas), Jenna Kerswill ( fiancé Chris Schmidt), Adam, Justin, Jaline, and James Siburt, and 17 great-grandchildren; siblings: Betty Lou Underwood, and Richard Cole; Sisters-in-law: Marjorie Wheeler, Lou Siburt, Irma Siburt, and Shirleen Cole and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Siburt; son, James A. Siburt; parents James F. and Pansy Cole; brothers: Jim and Bill Cole; sisters: Louisa Clark, Pansy Clara Cole, Lucille Walker and great-grandson, Hunter Shultz. Private Services will held at Wisconsin Veterans Home, King. Virginia's family would like to thank the staff at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, for their kindness and care these last few years.
