Virginia Gray Roberts Virginia Gray Roberts, 82, widow of William James Roberts, Sr., of Port Royal, SC passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm at Anderson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11 am at The Baptist Church of Beaufort with burial at Beaufort National Cemetery. Virginia was born on July 20, 1933 in Hampton, SC to the late Wyman Gray and Addie Jarrell Gray. She was a member of The Baptist Church of Beaufort for 56 years. Virginia, lovingly known as "Punk" by her family, loved the outdoors and spent many summers camping on Hunting Island. She loved creating arts & crafts from nature. She was an avid bowler & shag dancer. She also loved fishing with her husband Jimmy & out-fished him on many a trip. She loved her family and enjoyed visits from her Beaufort Baptist Church friends. We would also like to thank all the wonderful staff that helped care for her in her final days at Beaufort Memorial. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a daughter, Annette Jordan. Surviving is a son, William "Jim" Roberts, Jr. and daughter in law Amy of Lady's Island, SC; four daughters, Deborah Jordan of Hampton, SC, Cindy Neuhierl of Bluffton, SC and Belinda Prim of Port Royal, SC; one brother, Wyman Benjamin Gray; two sisters Evelyn "Pete" Currie and Miriam Roberts; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.
