VIRGINIA BIASCA Virginia "Ginny" Biasca passed away on December 5, 2016 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's. Ginny was born on September 20, 1931 in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School in 1949. She married the love of her life, Leeland Biasca, on May 1, 1954. Ginny worked in her early years at Pacific Telephone then left to raise her three children. Ginny later returned to work at Marshall School in the cafeteria. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending summers with family in Willow Creek, and above all spoiling her grandchildren. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Sydney Emerson, and brothers Dee, Jerry, Jim, and Bob, along with sister Mary Hutzell. She is survived by her husband Lee, and her three sons Bill, Ken, and Bob. Ginny was a much loved Grandmother to Amanda, Cassie, Matt, and Jill and Great-Grandmother to Sawyer and Maverick. She is survived by sister Sylvia Lendahl and sister-in-laws Patricia Biasca and Elda Billington. Ginny's extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews who she adored. In addition, Ginny leaves behind her long-time friends Ben and Stella Benzonelli and Ann Maisenbach. The family would like to give special thanks to Pacific Rehabilitation and Wellness for there numerous years of compassionate care. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Monday, December 12th at 11 am at Sanders Funeral Home 1835 E Street in Eureka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Services at Humboldt Senior Resource Center 1910 California Street Eureka, CA 95501.
