RACINE - Mrs. Vera (Nee: Clemmensen) Seeland, 105, passed away on April 10, 2015. Vera was born on February 12, 1910 to the late Max and Emelia Clemmensen and was a life-long resident of Racine. She married Heinz Seeland on Nov. 25, 1935. Vera was employed by Prince Pastries for 27 years. She was an avid gardener and wonderful homemaker. Vera was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Meadowbrook Congregation. Surviving are one son, Roy (Carol) Madsen, Racine; two granddaughters, Teryl (Christopher) Murphy, Bloomfield Hills, MI and Dr. Susan Wallace, Waukesha, WI; five great-grandchildren, Courtney, Calley, and Corin Murphy, Sarah and John Wallace;. Nieces, Joan (James) Ziccarelli, Linda (Donald) Radtke; and good friend, Rose Marie Ramano; other relatives and friends. Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Heinz Seeland, on October 1, 1983. A memorial service will be conducted by Richard Olson Saturday, April 18, at 4:00 pm. at the Purath-Strand Funeral Home, 3915 Douglas Avenue. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial to Meadowbrook Congregation of Jehovah Witness has been suggested.
