VerNae Rayman, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2020 in Somerset, PA. She was born on May 27, 1943 in Friedens, PA. She received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 1962, she married her husband Neil and had two children together, Vonnie and Mark. VerNae touched the lives of so many spending over 30 years as an elementary school teacher for the Somerset Area School District  molding the minds of the future. VerNae is survived by her beloved husband, her two children, and her four grandchildren--Taylor, Alex, Abby, and Alyssa. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Miller Funeral Homes in Friedens. A memorial service will be held at Friedens Lutheran Church at 11 am on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in Friedens.
