Tyler Jacob Faker, 21Tyler Jacob Faker, 21, of Remington, died on September 12, 2013, due to injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident.He was born on January 8, 1992 at the Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer to Mike and Tracie (Downey) Faker. He graduated from Tri-County High School in 2010 and went on to graduate from Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis with honors and a "Top Gun" status with an associate degree in Diesel Maintenance and Business.He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Remington, CYO Youth Group, a lifetime member of the NRA, a 10-year member of 4-H, and was an Eagle Scout. Tyler was also a member of the Tri-County football team all four years in high school. Tyler had worked for Whyte Horse Winery, Shafer and Freeman Lakes Environmental Conservation Corp., Franklin Logistics Inc./Smith's Transport, Rose Acre Farms, and Wiers International Trucks. He enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles and ATV's, flying model airplanes, target shooting, and bow fishing. Trains were his biggest passion in life and he had aspired to become a locomotive engineer. Surviving with his parents, Mike and Tracie Faker of Remington, are his sister, Jennifer Faker (fiancé: Daniel Lanoue of Rensselaer), paternal grandparents; Keith and Ellen Faker of Remington, and Patricia and John Shellcrosslee of Monticello; maternal grandmother, Sandra Downey of Kentland, and his girlfriend, Taylor French of Crawfordsville.He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Walter F. Downey, paternal great-grandparents; Edmond "Doc" and Doris Faker, and Paul "Mike" and Elizabeth "Betty" Williams; maternal great-grandparents, Cyril "Bill" and Clara Schluttenhofer, and his uncle and godfather, Brent Faker. Friends may call from 4-8 pm, Monday, September 16, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Remington, with a Rosary Service beginning at 3:45 pm, officiated by Fr. Denny Faker. Funeral Mass there at 11 am, Tuesday, September 17, 2013 with Fr. John Cummings officiating. Private family inurnment to follow at a later date.
