Tracey Martin Lewis passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011 in Yuma, Az. He was born on June 17, 1993 in Phoenix, Az. Tracey was a senior at Kofa High School. He was a member of the Kofa football, basketball and track team. Tracey also played Rez ball on the Cocopah Reservation for the Blackhawks and Redhawks teams. He was very active in his youth group at Somerton Church of the Nazarene. Tracey was well known and loved for his friendly smile, positive attitude and giving spirit. Tracey is survived by his mother, Madeline Juan; father, Travis Lewis; brothers, Shane, Brandon, and Mario Lewis; sister, Susanna Lewis; great-grandmother, Leola Barnargas. Tracey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lucinda M. and Martin S. Juan; paternal grandparents, Christine D. Lewis and the Honorable Alexander M. Lewis Sr. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Viewing and services will be from 1:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at Desert Valley Mortuary, officiated by Pastor Ray Stillings. Following the service a procession will take him to Gila River Reservation to the Community Building. Burial will be Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 6:00 a.m. at Gila Crossing Cemetery.
