AUBURN — Tony Joseph Robertson, 57, Auburn, Indiana, passed away at 5:14 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on March 16, 1958, in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of Robert Dale and Wilma Jean (Reeves) Robertson. On August 10, 1991, he married Roxanne Shaffer and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2014. Tony was a 1976 graduate of Western High School. He graduated from Ball State University with a degree in education. He retired from Prairie Heights School Corporation in Angola, where he taught industrial education. He looked forward every year for the Indianapolis 500 where he worked for several years as safety patrol. Tony is survived by his sister, Ruth (Claude) Vawter, Russiaville; an aunt, Doris Waddell Martin, Russiaville; cousins, Myrna (Jr.) Claar, Russiaville, Roger (Lynn) Waddell, Russiaville, Margie (Larry) Bales, Windfall, Judy (Michael) Gray, Kokomo, Tom Williams, Kokomo, and Dottie Salsbery, Kokomo; friends, Tim Zell, Russiaville, Dave Orem, Russiaville, and Dick Hurst, Monrovia; care friends, Faye and Lucretia, along with his beloved dog, Sara Belle. Tony was preceded in death by his cousins, Glen Williams and Drama "Fuzzy" Doyle. In keeping with Tony's wishes, no services are planned. A celebration of Tony's life will be held at a later date. A private burial will be held after cremation. Stout & Son Funeral Home in Kokomo is assisting the family with arrangements.
