Thurman E. Moles, 80Muncie - Thurman E. Moles, 80, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 8, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his family and friends, following an extended illness. He was born on April 29, 1937, in Jamestown, Tennessee the son of Fate and Sara (
Smith) Moles.He was born on April 29, 1937, in Jamestown, Tennessee the son of Fate and Sara (Smith) Moles.Thurman married the love of his life, Gearldine (Albertson) Moles in 1956 and she later preceded him in death in 2002. Mr. Moles had worked as a forklift driver for Broderick Forging approximately 22 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the AFL-CIO Union, enjoyed talking on the Citizens Band Radio and was known as the "Road Runner," fishing and playing horseshoes.Survivors include two sons, Larry Moles (wife-Melissa) and Lonnie Moles (wife-Joyce), both of Muncie; one daughter, Becky Peoples (husband-Frank "Petie"), Muncie; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Besides his wife of 46 years, Gearldine, he is preceded in death by two sons, Terry Moles in 2008 and Jerry Moles in 2010; his parents; five brothers and six sisters.Funeral services will be held on Friday morning, July 14, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at the Parson Mortuary with Rev. Henry Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Thursday evening, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, July 14, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until service time.Online condolences may be made to the family in care of
