Thomas Webb of DeWitt and formerly of Whittemore was born on Feb. 27, 1939, in Detroit and died Sunday, July 24, 2011, in Lansing.Mr. Webb taught high school for 35 years and also coached football and baseball at the high school level. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marilyn; daughter, Susan (John) Moe of Laingsburg; sons, David (Kim) Webb of Jonesboro, Ark., Steven (Gay Lynn) Webb of Rockford, Daniel Webb of DeWitt, Paul (Candy) Webb of Ashland, Wis., Philip (Mary) Webb of Three Rivers and Timothy (Desiree) Webb of Tawas City; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Charles (Clara) Webb of Dillsburg, Pa., and James (Joan) Webb of Green Valley, Ariz.; and sisters, Beverly Gray of Romeo and Pamela (Robert) Watters of Westminster, Colo. Funeral services for Mr. Webb will be held today (Wednesday) at Calvary Baptist Church, 14769 Wood St., Lansing, with the Rev. Tad Jameson officiating. Military honors will follow at Gunnisonville Cemetery. The family received friends on Tuesday, July 26, at the church.
