Thomas Jerome Kennedy, Jr.63, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016.  Tom was born on June 24, 1953 in Peru, IN to Thomas Jerome Kennedy, Sr., and Barbara Douglass Kennedy. Tom attended Indianapolis Latin School ('71), Saint Meinrad Seminary and Indiana Central. He was a pharmacy technician at Indiana University Methodist Hospital.Tom was an Eagle Scout, a 15-year member of the Warren Lions Club, serving as president 2014-15; the Ancient Order of Hibernians - Kevin Barry Division; and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Tom enjoyed spending time with family and friends, serving his community, celebrating his Irish heritage, golfing, boating, fishing, and smoking a good cigar.Tom is survived by his parents; wife, Terri Butcher Kennedy; daughter, Katie (Brian) Allen; grandchildren: Bridget, Joe, and Lila Allen; sisters, Joan (Dennis) Bruce and Marie (Allan) Chorpenning; brothers John (Cris) Kennedy and Charles (Dianna) Kennedy; father-in-law, William Butcher; sisters-in-law, Krisiti (Justin) Hromek and LeAnn Beller (deceased); 15 nieces and nephews; 8 great nieces and nephews; and many great friends and supporters who in the quiet moments of memory will continue to feel his love and will smile because he lived.There will be visitation from 3 - 6 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7241 E. 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46219 followed by a funeral mass at 6 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at the Eastside Knights of Columbus at 1040 N. Post Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46219 immediately after the mass.In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Warren Township Lions Club. Arrangements have been entrusted to Oakley-Hammond Funeral Home.
