Braun, Thomas J.Thomas J. Braun, age 67, of Neenah passed away on Friday night, September 22, 2017 at Cherry Meadows Hospice following a courageous, one-year battle with cancer. He was born on July 26, 1950 in Neenah, Wisconsin, son of the late Harry J. and Vivian E. (Westphal) Braun.On August 22, 1975 he married Patricia A. Trader at St. John the Baptist Parish in Menasha. Their marriage was blessed with two children and 42 years. Tom was employed by Bergstrom/Glatfelters from 1969 until the plant closed in 2006. Tom was an avid outdoorsman, who lived to fish and hunt. Tom was proud to pass on his knowledge to others, and to cement lifelong friendships with so many people through his love of the outdoors. Above all, Tom's most important, and favorite roll was that of "Papa." Papa days spent with Sam and Joey were his greatest treasures, and those times will be forever cherished by his granddaughters.He will be sadly missed by his wife Patti; his children: Tim (Lisa) Braun, Blaine, MN, Katie (Corey) Klaske, Neenah; granddaughters: Samantha Klaske, Neenah; Johannah Braun, Blaine, MN; sister, Barbara (Kirby) Ament, Somerset, WI; sister-in-law, Judy Delzer; nephews: Corby (Robin) Blansette; Pete (Meghan) Ament; Rob (Lacy) Ament; several other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Nancy Eisch.A Memorial Service for Tom will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Mark Armstrong officiating.
