Tom Kelleher, 76, passed away on March 10, 2017. He was born on December 24, 1940 in Patterson City, NJ, a son of the late Mary Sullivan Kelleher and Thomas Aquinas Kelleher, Sr.Tom worked for 40 years for the Equitable Life Insurance Company. He was a governor of Toastmasters International and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Tom volunteered with Loaves and Fishes Ministry. He was a member and guitarist for the Charlotte Folk Society. He would offer his monthly services to play music and sing at local nursing homes, and often played with the Folk Society at the Great Aunt Stella Center. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam Era. Tom was a dedicated Lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Peter's Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia; son, Michael Kelleher of Charlotte; daughters, Jennifer Kelleher of Charlotte and Kathleen Kelleher Bloom of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Lily Kelleher, Elijah Bloom, and Evelyn Bloom.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Harry & Bryant, 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm on Thursday the 16th at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 507 S. Tryon St., Charlotte.
