Ms. Reed was born Sept 21, 1941, in Norfolk VA, a daughter of Sandra and Norman Reed. 

She was a retired Nurse at Norfolk Sentara Hospital .

A homemaker/chef, Thelma was a member of Gospel Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and dedicating her free time to her church home as a mother of her church family.  Thelma was very family orientated and loved to spend quality time with her children and grandkids. 

She leaves to cherish her beloved memory with her 3 children, Tonya Thomas, Lisa Reed, and John Reed of Norfolk ; 5 grandkids, 2 siblings; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was greeted at Heaven’s Gate by her son Cleveland Reed .

Services will be 11 a.m. July 22, 2020, at her home church Gospel Temple Baptist Church, 2987 Corprew Ave., Norfolk, VA Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
