Terry Lee WallgrenTerry Lee Wallgren, 68, passed away August 20, 2014 at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital, Snoqualmie, WA. He was born on February 15, 1946 in Ellensburg, WA to John (Bill) and Julia (Kozelisky) Wallgren. Growing up in Ronald, he attended Ronald Grade School and graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1964. He graduated from CWU with a Finance degree in 1971. Terry began his career as a banker in Fairbanks, AK and over the course of 35 years worked at several banks in Washington. He retired from Cashmere Valley Bank in Cle Elum, WA in 2007. Terry married Sharon Bator in Cle Elum in 1968. They were happily married for 46 years. They enjoyed back country horse riding in the Kittitas County Mountains including Waptus and Michael Lake, snowmobiling, camping, house-boating and loved to travel.As an active community member, he was instrumental in several significant acquisitions. During his involvement in Mountains To Sound Greenway Trust, he coordinated the attainment of the Coal Mine Trail and Wye property in Cle Elum. As Key Bank Manager, he was influential in convincing them to donate their Roslyn branch building to the city for use as City Hall. He was also a part of the UKC Parks and Recs District #1, a member of the Cle Elum Eagles, Moose and various other volunteer organizations. He was voted Volunteer of the Year for the City of Cle Elum in 2008.Terry is preceded in death by his father John (Bill) and two sets of grandparents. Terry is survived by his wife Sharon, mother Julia Wallgren of Ronald, WA; sister Joanne (Jerry) Sherwood of Wenatchee, WA; brother Dennis (Muriel) Wallgren of East Wenatchee, WA; long time business partner and friend Ray Rogalski of Cle Elum, WA; numerous nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends. Viewing will be Wednesday August 27th, from 4pm-7pm at Cascade Funeral Home in Cle Elum. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am Thursday August 28, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Roslyn, interment in Roslyn Cemetery and reception at Ronald Community CenterDonations in memory of Terry may be made to or The Ronald Community Club or organization of your choice.Arrangements are under the care of Cascade Funeral Home.
