Adams, Terry J. Terry Joseph Adams died peacefully on March 27, 2017 at the age of 70 with his beloved family by his side. Terry is preceded in death by his Mother Evelyn, Father Ralph and brother Jeff Adams. He is survived by his ever-loving wife Dixie; sons Aron (Angela), and Aric (Casey); his 5 siblings and countless nieces, nephews and cousins, but not to forget the loves of his life, his 3 granddaughters Alexis (13), Ali (11), and Anika (9) whom he loved with more than all his heart. Terry was born on July 30, 1946 in Loveland, CO to Ralph and Evelyn Adams and spent his early years in Sioux City, Iowa. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Lincoln, NE, where he began what was to become a very rewarded life. Terry attended the University of Nebraska and graduated with a law degree in December of 1970. In 1971, his adventures landed him in Phoenix, AZ where he really made his mark. After a brief stint with the City Prosecutors office, he began his true calling as an attorney with the Maricopa County Public Defender's office and never looked back. He was a respected colleague and avid defender of the law as he worked his way through the ranks and just recently retired after 45 years of serving this great state he loved. He was an avid sports fan and loved his Huskers and Arizona Cardinals, in which he was a season ticket holder since the day they moved to town. His other true love was spending his summers at his cabin in Pinetop, AZ with his family. He was a devoted and loyal man to those whom he loved and will be sorely missed every day. He truly made this world a better place. A private family service will be held on Saturday April 1st, to honor his memory. Visit
