"Tammy" (McAuley) Guenther, 68, of Port Huron, passed away on February 2, 2017 in Lake Huron Medical Center with her family by her side.She was born on May 8, 1948 in Port Huron, daughter of the late Louis and Dorothy McAuley.Tammy married James F. Guenther on December 13, 1980 in Port Huron.She enjoyed collecting ceramic dolls, Barbie's, ferris wheels, Elvis Memorabilia and singing karaoke. Tammy was a longtime member of the Eagle's. She owned and operated her own daycare for many years. Tammy was a 1966 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Tammy is survived by her husband, James F. Guenther of Port Huron; nine children, 29 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; seven brothers and one sister; also survived by several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a son.Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron. Elder Patrick A. McAuley will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.Pallbearers will be Ty Baker, Mark Baker, Robert Martin II, Kevin Guenther, Jim Smith and Justin Forrester.Memorial tributes may be made to the Special Olympics.To view obituary and share memories visit www.jowettfuneraldirectors.com
