Thomas D. Macedo, 73 years young, of Fresno, CA, passed away on September 18, 2016. He was born on October 14, 1942, in Hanford, CA. He was a graduate of Fresno City College, California State University Fresno, and Cal Poly, with a degree in Architectural Engineering Design. He then enlisted in the United States Army in 1966, where he was a First Staff Sergeant Cartography Map Instructor for the Army of Engineers. Thomas was the proud Owner and Operator of Valley Hardwood Flooring of Fresno for 45 years, with his wife, Coleena, and daughters, by his side, and with his crews, it will continue grow and thrive. His passion's was first and foremost was anything hardwood flooring and local dirt track oval midget and sprint car racing as a driver, owner, sponsor, and aeronautics. He enjoyed talking and meeting with people and sharing life experiences. His great love was for his furry buddies Koko, Peanut and Smoke. Thomas was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, as well as a mentor and a friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard J. Macedo Sr., and Marietta Macedo; as well as his brother, Richard J. Macedo Jr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Coleena Macedo, of 42 years; his four children, Mark and Felicia Strole of Laton, CA, Cassie and Sarah Macedo of Fowler, CA, and Mark and Scott Macedo of Fresno, CA, and their families; four grandchildren, Geoffrey and Garred Strole, and Zoey and Kyle Macedo; his sisters, Cecily Macedo, and Jane DeVeer; and the rest of his relatives, and many wonderful friends and neighbors. The family of Thomas D. Macedo wishes to thank Community Regional Medical Center; and Jim Copner, Director of The Cremation of Central California. Thomas wishes were to have a very private service, but the family would love to honor him with a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
