Sylvia C. JensenPort Hueneme, CASylvia C. Jensen, 68, of Port Hueneme, passed away on September 20, 2017 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of Michael Jensen. They shared 48 years of marriage. Sylvia was born on December 27, 1948 in Oxnard to Jesus and Connie Sanchez. She graduated from Santa Clara High School in 1967. Sylvia worked for Parkview Elementary for over ten years.Sylvia was a talented needlepoint artist who annually submitted her work to the Ventura County Fair, leading to first prize awards. She also enjoyed baking, particularly desserts, which lead to additional first prize awards. Her family continued to enjoy them, as she always brought those delightful desserts to family gatherings.She is survived by spouse Michael Jensen Sr., son Michael Jensen II, his wife Cynthia, and grandson Michael Jensen III. Survived by mother Connie Monreal, Brother Jesus Sanchez, Sister Rebecca Kellner, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.Predeceased in death by Grandparents Camilo and Maximiniana Herrera, Fathers Jesus Sanchez and Louie Monreal, and Sister Yolanda Sanchez.Sylvia's passing has brought much sorrow to her loved ones yet her presence will be forever remembered and cherished.
