Syble Louise HelmsJacksonSyble Helms, 87, passed on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home in Jackson. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Mrs. Helms was born on July 29, 1929 in Kilbourne, LA. She worked at College Cleaners as a seamstress for 22 years. She enjoyed gardening and listening to music. Mrs. Helms loved to talk to people, wherever she went she never met a stranger. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Helms; fathers, Charlie Connell and Sandy Haley; mother, Gladys McClendon Haley; great-grandson, Pierce Alan Helms; brother, William Sonny Haley; and nephew, Stephen Haley. Mrs. Helms is survived by her sons, Jimmy Helms (Mary Ann) and Charlie Helms (Pam); adopted daughter, Judy Forster (Kurt); grandchildren, Brad, Marc, Tina, Jill, Josh, Amanda, Aaron; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, B.C.
