Susan K. JonesONTARIO: Susan K. Jones, 66, of Ontario passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Susan was born on June 23, 1950 in Galion, OH to the late Herb and Janice (Jackson) Hewitt.Susan was a 1968 graduate of Ontario High School and received her bachelor degree from Bowling Green in 1972. She was a teacher with the Mansfield City Schools for thirty two years and was a devoted Tyger basketball fan. Susan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished time with her grandchildren. She was a genuine and thoughtful person who loved to serve others and spend time with her family and friends. She had a true servants heart. An active member of Cook Road Baptist Church, she enjoyed teaching Sunday School, being an Awana Leader and taking part with the ladies fellowship. Susan enjoyed her time with the Mid-Ohio Writing Project, traveling and her breakfast group who met at Coney Island. Left behind to cherish her loving memory are her husband, Gregory Scott Jones; her children, Ron (Julie) Read, Jeremy (Kristy) Jones and Jennifer J. (Jason) Demarais; six grandchildren, Sebastian Jones, Vivian Demarais, Alaina Demarais, Jackson Jones, Lucas Read, and Kadence Jones; an aunt and uncle, Georgia (Robert) Gwirtz; her cousins, Bonny Switzgable, Marlene Wears, Tom King, Sally Steward, and Gary Carpenter; her nieces and nephews, Beth Thurston, Kelly Grimm, John Newman, Jeff Grimm, and Heather Gonzalez; and many dear friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Dewey (Ethel) Jackson, Nellie Hewitt, and Delbert (Carrie) Hewitt; an uncle, Verlin Hewitt; and an aunt, Margaret (Donald) King.The family will welcome friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Cook Road Baptist Church, 54 E. Cook Rd. Mansfield, OH. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Crestline.
