Susan Cohn MidyettSusan Cohn Midyett, 58, passed away on February 23, 2017 at her home in Pensacola, FL. She was born on January 6, 1959 in Monroe, LA. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the American Rose Center in Shreveport, LA.Susan was preceded in death by her father, Henry J. Cohn, Sr. and her brother, William Cohn. She is survived by her mother, Jane Rooks Cohn; children, Amanda Woodall Castello (Jason), Hannah Midyett and Daniel Midyett; and three grandchildren, Madeleine Castello, Seth Castello and Dennis Castello, as well as her siblings, Henry Cohn, Jr. (Marilyn), Patricia Cohn Cluck (Darrell), David Cohn (Linda), Michael Cohn (Lori) and Joanna Cohn McMullen (Freddie), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A graduate of Ouachita Parish High School, Susan earned her bachelor's and her Physician Assistant degree from LSU Shreveport.Through meeting with her tennis and work friends, we have been told several times what we already knew-she made a strong impression on everyone she met and she fiercely loved her children. She committed herself fully to her job as a Physician Assistant and considered caring for her patients as one of her greatest responsibilities. In her free time, she was often exercising and with the recent move to Florida, was able to enjoy all of the beach activities she loved on a daily basis. She was an always beautiful, 5'2 can of whoop a** and we love and will miss her for it.
