Susan Carol Butler 55, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday September 17,2019. Susan was born in Knoxville, Tennessee  to Robert and Joyce Butler and raised in Los Angeles, California. She worked for Los Angeles Unified School district, and for the Housing Authority of Los Angeles where she began to develop a strong love and bond with the community of the Mar Vista Gardens Housing Projects where many became her family. Susan moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1999 continuing her career, and also began to foster and adopt children. She has always had a passion for those in need, and those with special needs. Susan is preceded in death and has gained her wings with Father Robert Jack Butler, Brothers Robert Keaton Butler, Richard Ambrister Butler, Sister Virginia Karen Butler. Susan is survived by her loving Mother Joyce Butler, Sons Marty Lovely Butler, Lamont Butler, Sister Catherine Townsend, grandson Tevin Powell, Nieces Domonique Townsend, Mykelle Butler-Prince, Kinadie Butler-McDonald, nephew Richard Butler, Her Hearts Vernisha Powell, Jakobe Powell, Jordon Robb,  Michael Baxter, Kam'ron Brooks, Kassidy Brooks, and Karter Brooks, and a host of other family and friends. Susan was a survivor, and survived so many life changing things that we can be assured that her faith in God has carried her home, where there is no more pain and she can rest safely in the arms of God. 

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give wayand the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,though its waters roar and foam  and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall;God will help her at break of day. -Psalms 46:1-5
