Sue Comer Raleigh Erin Sue Comer, 78, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, November 11, 2016. Sue was born on November 14, 1937 in Meridian, MS to the late Frank Smith and the late Elizabeth Erin Grady Smith. Sue is survived by her husband of 59 years, Boyd Bruner Comer; five sons, Jeffery (Darlene), of Newnan, GA; Kenneth (Suzanne), of Huntsville, AL; Bradley (Natalie), of Wendell, NC; Mark (Melinda), of Raleigh, NC; and Christopher, of Raleigh, NC; nineteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, with two on the way. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Smith, Jr. To everyone that knew her, "Mom" was a devoted homemaker, whose passion for crafts and florals touched many lives. She was an angel in waiting to help her sons and daughters-in-law, often with an encouraging word, warm smile and a loving hug. To her grandchildren, "MiMi" loved unconditionally, she cherished each ones accomplishments, and attended to their multitude of needs. Throughout her life she proudly attended sporting events, school and church productions and piano recitals. Sue graduated from Meridian High School/Junior College and the University of Tennessee Medical School as a Laboratory Technician. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh. Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home. A Celebration of Sue's Life will be held on Wednesday morning, November 16, 2016 at 11 am at Providence Baptist Church.
