Sue BosMrs. Sieuwke "Sue" Bos, age 89, of Billings, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her home with family at her side, on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. She was born on March 11, 1928 in Baflo, Holland, the daughter of Homma and Alice (VanDyke) Datema.Sue came from Holland in 1949 and became an American Citizen in 1953. Also, before she left Holland, on March 11, 1948, she became engaged to Albert Bos, Sr., whom she married in America on September 27, 1949, in St. John Chapel United Church of Christ, Springfield, Missouri, where they both remained faithful members until their deaths.Sue was an active member of the Christian County Extension Club; the 4-H Club; and served on the board of directors for the Billings Senior Center.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Albert Bos, Sr., on November 19, 1994; her parents; a brother, Hank Datema, and an infant brother.Sue is survived by four children and their spouses, Ralph and Roetta Bos, Albert Jr. and Angela Bos, Henry and Debbie Bos, and Alice "Susie" and husband Dr. Doug Corrie; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren; and four siblings, Pete Datema, Corneil Datema and wife Shirley, Ralph Datema, and Alice Datema. Sue will be missed not only by her family, but also by her many friends, Church, and community.A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2017 in Meadors Funeral Home, 101 NE Pine, Billings Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017 also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill West Cemetery, Billings.
