Stuart A. "Stu" Grubman, 72, of Rutland, died November 7, 2016, at the Rutland Regional Medical Center, following a long illness. He was born on January 21, 1944, in Passaic, NJ, the son of Milton and Helen (Balog) Grubman. Mr. Grubman grew up in NJ and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1966. Mr. Grubman was employed as an independent contractor doing quality control for an oil company for many years. He was an avid football and NASCAR fan. Mr. Grubman was a member of the American Legion Post #31. Survivors include his wife, Ann Grubman, of Rutland, whom he married on November 8, 1999; two stepdaughters, Kandi Graham (Erik Shappy) and Niki Garrow; his mother, Helen Grubman, of NJ; two sisters, Glenda Silber (Peter Burke), of Rutland and, Dinah Hyman, of NJ; a brother, Martin Grubman (Leslie), of NJ; and a granddaughter, Malori Carlson. He was predeceased by his father in 2008. Per Stu's request, there will be no public services. Arrangements are by the Aldous Funeral Home.
