RACINE - Steven Paul Holly, 72, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints. He was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on April 18, 1939, the son of the late Steve Holly and Marion (nee: Nemitz) Finucane. Steve served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1960, and was a member of the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps. On February 4, 1961, Steve was united in marriage to Patricia Hrasky at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, past president of the Riverwood Condominium Association, and a 40-year member of the Racine R.C. Club. Steve was an electrician with Bohm Electric for 40 years. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, building and flying radio controlled airplanes, playing his trumpet, spending time with his family, and helping others. Steve is survived by his wife Patricia of Racine; daughter, Jennifer (William) Podkowa of Shorewood, IL; son, Christopher Holly of Racine; grandchildren, Anthony and Elizabeth Podkowa of Shorewood, IL; brothers James (Patricia) Holly of Springville, CA and Robert Burns of Mesquite, NV. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, LaVerne Holly; stepfather, John Finucane; mother-in-law, Sylvia Hrasky; father-in- law, Anton Hrasky; and brother-in-law, William Hrasky. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3011 Erie St. on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. Steve will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Graceland Cemetery following services. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Monday evening, January 23, 2012, from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Health Care Network, 904 State St. Racine, WI 53404 have been suggested by the family.
